GTC Construction was founded in 2024 to build custom homes and light commercial projects the way we always thought they should be built.
Why we started GTC
Three of us started GTC Construction in 2024 after years working on other people's job sites around Central Texas. We saw plenty of good work and plenty of jobs that went sideways for the same handful of reasons: nobody answering the phone, budgets that only got honest after the slab was poured, and crews rotating through so fast that nobody owned the finished product.
So we built the company around fixing exactly that. We stay small on purpose. We take on a limited number of jobs at a time, we price them honestly before we start, and the person who walks your lot with you on day one is the same person who walks the punch list with you at the end.
Bastrop is home. Most of our work is within an hour of the courthouse, and we'd rather earn the next job from a neighbour's recommendation than from an ad.

Insurance and paperwork
Texas does not issue a state license for residential general contractors, so there is no license number to quote you. What we can give you is proof of coverage and the licensed trades who work our jobs.
- General liability insurance — certificate sent before we start work
- Workers' compensation coverage for our crews
- Licensed subcontractors for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, holding current Texas state licenses
- Permitted and inspected work through the City of Bastrop or Bastrop County, as applicable
- Written contracts and change orders on every job, no exceptions
